Facts
The Regera uses a liquid-cooled 4.5 kWh high-voltage battery operating at 800 V.
Koenigsegg Direct Drive in the Regera replaces a traditional multi-speed gearbox and sends combustion-engine power directly to the rear axle.
The electric portion of the Regera powertrain can provide about 700 hp.
Koenigsegg states a combined hybrid-system output of more than 1,500 hp for the Regera when running on E85.
The Regera hybrid system has three electric motors: one at each rear wheel and one connected to the crankshaft.
The Regera uses a 5.0-litre aluminium V8 with twin turbochargers and dry-sump lubrication.
A total of 80 Koenigsegg Regeras were produced.
Koenigsegg states that, at its 2015 debut, the Regera was the first production car with an 800 V traction system.
Koenigsegg designed the Regera as a more luxurious alternative to its extremely lightweight, track-focused megacars.
The Regera’s Autoskin system uses compact hydraulics to automate body openings and mirrors, with proximity sensors helping prevent collisions while they move.
