Rolls-Royce Sweptail

Sweptail’s centre console contains a bespoke mechanism that, at the press of a button, presents a bottle of the owner’s preferred vintage champagne and two crystal flutes.

Sweptail was created as an individual Coachbuild motor car commissioned by a single Rolls-Royce client.

Unveiled in May 2017, Sweptail became the first modern project in Rolls-Royce’s revived Coachbuild programme.

Behind Sweptail’s seats is a feature called the Passarelle, running from the rear edge of the windscreen toward the hat shelf to visually unite the cabin.

Sweptail’s interior combines polished Macassar Ebony with open-pore Paldao and contrasting Moccasin and Dark Spice leathers.

Sweptail’s cabin minimizes visible switchgear so that its materials and interior form take visual priority.

Despite its substantial size, Sweptail has only two seats and its cabin was conceived as a classic two-seat grand tourer.

Sweptail features an expansive uninterrupted glass roof that floods its two-seat cabin with natural light.

Sweptail’s silhouette is defined by tapering proportions, a falling waist rail, a flowing roofline and its distinctive swept tail.

Sweptail’s design drew on the client’s favourite early-20th-century cars as well as classic and modern yachts.
