Rimac
Rimac Automobili was founded in 2009 by Mate Rimac in Sveta Nedelja, Croatia. Starting as a garage project converting an old BMW into an electric race car, the company grew into a specialized hypercar manufacturer and a tier-one supplier of high-performance electric powertrains and battery systems.
The brand gained international attention with the Concept_One, introduced in 2011 as one of the world's first fully electric hypercars. In 2021, Rimac launched the Nevera, a four-motor hypercar generating 1,914 horsepower that went on to set numerous global acceleration and performance records for production vehicles.
Today, the business operates within the Rimac Group. In 2021, the company partnered with Porsche to form Bugatti Rimac, bringing Bugatti and Rimac Automobili under shared management led by Mate Rimac. Simultaneously, the standalone Rimac Technology division continues to design and manufacture battery systems, software, and drivetrains for major global automakers.
