Zenos has revealed the production-ready version of its revived E10, bringing the compact British open-top sports car back for the 2027 model year. Two turbocharged variants, substantially reworked bodywork and a new carbon-fibre tub form the basis of the relaunched range. Orders are open, with customer deliveries due to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
The announcement brings a lengthy comeback effort into focus. The original E10 arrived in 2014, but Zenos entered administration in 2017. A prototype of the renewed E10 rZ appeared in September 2025, before the company had completed the production specification. Now the less powerful r2 has joined it and Zenos has published prices for both cars.
The entry-level E10 r2 uses a turbocharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine producing 300bhp at approximately 6,000rpm and 425Nm of torque. The more powerful E10 rZ has a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 380bhp and 510Nm. Zenos quotes a kerb weight of just 790kg for the new range, giving the rZ a claimed power-to-weight ratio of about 480bhp per tonne.
Much of the E10's original architecture survives. An extruded aluminium central spine remains the structural starting point, but the cabin tub and outer body panels are now carbon fibre. Heavy components, including the engine and gearbox, sit within the wheelbase to concentrate mass. The front suspension uses pushrods and inboard dampers, while the rear retains conventional coil-over units. Both versions are rear-wheel drive, with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Zenos has widened the tracks, increased front brake capacity and revised the cooling layout. The latest body incorporates redesigned lights, brake-cooling ducts, side skirts and small aerodynamic winglets. Inside, the open cockpit receives a digital driver display, weather-resistant switches and newly developed carbon-fibre seats.
According to the manufacturer, the rZ can reach 62mph from rest in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of around 150mph. Pricing starts at £115,900 for the r2 and £129,900 for the rZ, a considerable step up from the pre-2017 E10 range. UK buyers can specify road-registered or track-only cars, in left- or right-hand drive; outside the UK, Zenos currently offers track-only versions. The small production allocation and high entry price underline how different the business case is for this lightweight sports car's second life.
