Rolls-Royce launches invitation-only Coachbuild Collection programme

Rolls-Royce has announced Coachbuild Collection, a new programme that combines a limited-production coachbuilt car with a multi-year series of private experiences and access to its development process. Participation will be by invitation only through the marque's global Private Office network.

Unlike individual Coachbuild commissions such as Sweptail, Boat Tail or Droptail, each Coachbuild Collection is intended to be produced in a small series. Rolls-Royce says each design will be authored by the company and will never be repeated. The cars will use wholly unique body styles created by its Coachbuild department and will be fully homologated and road legal.

The programme extends beyond delivery of the car. Invited clients are promised access to closed testing facilities, design studios and meetings with the people developing the project. Rolls-Royce's Private Offices, which will be used to identify and invite participants, operate in locations including Dubai, Seoul, Shanghai, New York and the company's home at Goodwood.

The first Coachbuild Collection will be fully electric. Rolls-Royce did not disclose its production number or detailed technical specification in the March announcement, saying further information would follow in April 2026. The programme therefore creates a new layer between conventional Bespoke work and one-off Coachbuild projects: Rolls-Royce defines the car, while a very small invited group follows its development and joins a closed collector experience around it.
