The Rimac Nevera R has set 24 performance records during testing at Automotive Testing Papenburg in Germany. The headline figure was 25.79 seconds for 0-400-0 km/h, 2.04 seconds quicker than the previous record for the same test.
Rimac says the results were independently verified by Dewesoft. The Nevera R reached 100 km/h in 1.72 seconds, 200 km/h in 3.95 seconds, 300 km/h in 7.89 seconds and 400 km/h in 17.35 seconds. The runs formed part of final validation before customer deliveries.
The R is the more track-focused evolution of the Nevera, using four electric motors, revised torque-vectoring software, new aerodynamics and chassis changes. Production is limited to 40 cars, with a starting price of €2.3 million.
The breadth of the record session matters more than one acceleration run. The original Nevera established 23 records in a single day in 2023, and the R went back to the same proving ground to improve its predecessor's major benchmarks. Rimac therefore used the measurements as a direct comparison of how much the new derivative had gained, rather than relying on a single top-speed claim.
