Porsche 911 GT3 Bergsport is limited to 100 cars for four Alpine markets

Porsche has introduced the 911 GT3 Bergsport, a market-specific edition created by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur for customers in Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. Production is capped at 100 cars, all based on the current 911 GT3 with Touring Package. Rather than chasing a new performance headline, the project combines a lightweight, driver-focused specification with design details drawn from Alpine roads and Porsche's long history in European hill climbs.

Its most obvious identifier is Valleygreenmetallic, a new Paint to Sample Plus colour developed specifically for the edition. Porsche says the deep green finish and its warm metallic effect were chosen to echo the tones of the mountain landscape. The Alpine theme continues through the badges, stitching and cabin details. A GT3 Bergsport emblem depicts four peaks, representing the four countries in which the car will be sold.

The specification includes the Lightweight Package, carbon-backed bucket seats, a front-axle lift system and a 90-litre fuel tank. A six-speed manual gearbox suits the car's deliberately analogue brief, while PDK is also available at no extra charge. One unusual detail is the wheel choice. The GT3 Bergsport uses forged aluminium wheels instead of the magnesium items normally associated with the Lightweight Package, a decision Porsche links to durability across the varied surfaces encountered on mountain roads.

Porsche chose the Arosa ClassicCar hill climb in Switzerland for the public debut. On 3 September, brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister was due to drive the special edition over the 7.3-kilometre course, which climbs 422 metres through 76 corners. It is a fitting venue for a model whose entire identity is built around Alpine driving rather than rarity alone.

The Bergsport also illustrates how Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur is moving beyond individual options into tightly defined small-batch cars. In this case, the 100-car limit is paired with a very specific geographic audience and a configuration intended to remain genuinely usable on the roads that inspired it.
