Ferrari has revealed a one-off 12Cilindri Tailor Made created specifically for the South Korean market. The project took almost two years and brought together the Ferrari Styling Centre, COOL HUNTING and Korean artists and craftspeople. Rather than stopping at unusual paint and upholstery, the team integrated traditional materials, artistic processes and even a visual interpretation of the V12's sound.
The most immediate feature is the Yoonseul paint. Its iridescent surface shifts from green to violet with blue highlights, drawing on Korean celadon ceramics as well as the lights and energy of contemporary Seoul. Artist Dahye Jeong's horsehair weaving appears physically on the dashboard, while one of her patterns was translated into a new three-dimensional fabric for the seats, floor and soft surfaces. The same pattern is screen-printed onto the glass roof.
Hyunhee Kim's work informed semi-translucent interpretations of Ferrari badges and interior details. TaeHyun Lee inspired white elements including the brake calipers and shift paddles. Sound artists GRAYCODE and jiiiiin analysed the V12 and turned its waveform into a graphic treatment applied to the body.
Mechanically, the commission retains the core 12Cilindri architecture: a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12, eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and rear-wheel drive. The important changes are therefore not about increasing performance, but about using Ferrari's Tailor Made programme as a platform for a highly specific cultural collaboration.
Only one car has been produced in this configuration. It demonstrates how factory personalisation at the highest end of the market is moving beyond colour-and-trim selection toward bespoke materials, manufacturing techniques and commissioned artwork developed for an individual vehicle.
