McLaren Senna and Ferrari SF90 head to Philippine customs auction

The Philippine Bureau of Customs has scheduled a sealed-bid auction of 11 seized luxury vehicles for 30 October 2026. The headline cars are a 2021 McLaren Senna and a 2022 Ferrari SF90 Stradale, two very different approaches to extreme performance that will be offered through a government sale rather than a conventional collector-car auction.

According to Top Gear Philippines, the minimum bid for the Senna is ₱86,735,913.31, while the SF90 Stradale starts at ₱33,264,550.94. McLaren built 500 Sennas, giving the track-focused model particular collector interest. The Ferrari combines a twin-turbocharged V8 with three electric motors, making it a striking contrast to the McLaren's more single-minded mechanical layout.

The rest of the catalogue includes a Rolls-Royce Phantom and Cullinan, a Bentley Continental, a Mercedes-AMG GT, a BMW X6, two Range Rovers, a Toyota Alphard and a Lexus ES. The vehicles were seized in connection with importation irregularities, misdeclarations or tax-related violations. Available reporting does not establish which specific allegation applies to each individual car, and the presence of a vehicle in the sale should not be used to draw a more detailed conclusion about its history.

The Philippine News Agency reports that the customs bureau is targeting roughly ₱226 million in proceeds from the entire group. But Chris Noel Bendijo, a deputy chief of staff at the agency, said no bidders had registered when the report was published on 27 October. The combined target and the published minimum bids are therefore expectations, not realised sale prices.

Prospective bidders can inspect the cars from 27 to 29 October at the customs compound. The auction is scheduled for 10am on 30 October at the Port of Manila. Whether the Senna and SF90 will actually sell, and at what prices, remains to be established by the bidding process.
