Lamborghini Revuelto SV brings 1050 hp and a 1,963-car limit

Lamborghini has revealed the Revuelto SV, the first hybrid Super Veloce and the fifth V12 model in the marque's history to wear the SV badge. It combines 1,050 hp with a more aggressive aerodynamic package and a production run of 1,963 cars, a reference to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded.

The powertrain still combines a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V-12 with three electric motors, but total output rises to 783 kW, or 1,065 CV in Lamborghini's metric rating. The company quotes 0-100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and a 348 km/h top speed. A larger battery also gives the electric side of the system more capacity to support the combustion engine.

Power is only one part of the SV treatment. A fixed rear wing and revised aerodynamic surfaces help produce 80 percent more downforce than the standard Revuelto, according to Lamborghini. Chassis revisions and weight reduction are intended to sharpen the car further, keeping the Super Veloce formula focused on more than a higher output figure.

The SV lineage began with the Miura SV in 1971 and later continued through the Diablo, Murciélago and Aventador. The Revuelto is the first version to apply that formula to a Lamborghini flagship built around a hybrid V-12 powertrain.

Lamborghini scheduled the car's world presentation at The Quail during Monterey Car Week. Pricing was not announced with the initial reveal.
