Karma Eximius 1 gives the Revero a V8 and nearly 1,200hp

Karma Automotive has launched Eximius, a bespoke programme that lets clients change a car's body, performance and powertrain, and revealed its first commission. The Eximius 1 made its world debut at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas on 31 October 2026. It is a four-seat car built for the track and is still being developed with its client, whose identity has not been disclosed. Delivery is planned for 2027.

Marques McCammon, Karma's president and chief executive, said: "The Eximius program effectively deletes the word 'no' from conversations about what's possible."

The car is based on the Revero, Karma's plug-in series hybrid. According to Car and Driver, the standard car uses a turbocharged three-cylinder engine as a generator. The Eximius 1 replaces it with a 6.2-litre V8. Because the powertrain remains a series hybrid, the engine produces electricity for the drive system rather than driving the wheels directly.

Projected figures

Karma quotes nearly 1,200hp in total, made up of 550hp from the combustion engine and 645hp from the battery. The company claims 0-60mph in 2.7 seconds and estimates a top speed of more than 200mph. These are targets for a car still in development, not measured results. The specification includes carbon-ceramic brakes with two-piece slotted discs and Öhlins semi-active suspension.

Carbon bodywork and a racing interior

Apart from the outer body surface, every panel is made from pre-impregnated carbon fibre. Wheel-arch extensions make the car 50mm wider than a standard Revero. On the front doors and bonnet, exposed carbon gradually fades into Borealis Blue paint. Large side intakes with Karma's lighting graphic flank the carbon front splitter, and the 21in magnesium wheels use centre locks. A full-width wing sits at the rear above a large diffuser, and twin exhaust tips exit behind the driver's side front wheel. The number 5 on the front wings has particular significance for the client, Karma says.

Inside, blue-tinted carbon fibre covers the seats, flat-bottomed steering wheel and doors. The front seats are Recaro carbon buckets trimmed in blue Alcantara, blue leather and Moondust Alcantara. The pedals are machined from billet aluminium. The console carries only the essentials, including the PRND gear selector, window switches, a key fob holder and an emergency kill switch, and extends to the rear compartment, where a strap holds the client's carbon racing helmet.

Car and Driver reports that Karma will build no more than nine bespoke cars based on each series production model. The Revero itself is being replaced by the Gyesera Grand Coupe, which Karma says will reach dealers in December 2026.
