Kahn Design revealed the Macan Dakar Concept on September 25, giving the petrol-powered Porsche Macan a more serious off-road brief. The vehicle is currently a one-off concept, while Kahn says a production version is expected in early 2027. Its basic idea follows the path opened by cars such as the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato: more ground clearance, all-terrain tyres and useful protection without turning the donor vehicle into a conventional off-roader.
The main chassis change is a 30 mm suspension lift. Wider arches make room for 20-inch forged Hammerhead wheels fitted with all-terrain tyres, while Kahn also offers an 18-inch wheel option for customers who intend to spend more time away from paved roads. The company has not announced engine modifications or performance figures, so the concept is best understood as a chassis, body and equipment package rather than a new powertrain derivative.
Front and rear skid plates are joined by a protective front bar, bonnet mask and a full-length load-rated roof rack. Volcanic Orange mounting points are intended for limb risers, while exposed protective parts use Kahn's textured Volcanic Raptor finish. At the rear, a small ducktail spoiler references the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7.
The white, orange and cobalt-blue colour scheme takes inspiration from the Porsche 959's Paris-Dakar competition history. Inside, the Macan uses Kahn's Cobalt Tartan fabric with black Nappa leather. The current concept is listed by Kahn Automobiles as the only example in existence ahead of the planned 2027 production programme.
Important details are still missing. Kahn has not disclosed pricing, a production total or the final technical specification of the customer version. For now, the Macan Dakar Concept is a statement of intent for a new branch of Kahn's Macan programme rather than a finished production model with fixed specifications.
