Classic Car Studio has disclosed the details of Brownfinger, its 1970 Plymouth ’Cuda restomod prepared for the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Beneath the early-1970s muscle-car body is a 7.0-liter Hemi V8 from DSR Performance, rated at 1,200 hp according to the project information released by Gentex.
Rather than retain the original car's half-century-old chassis architecture, the St. Louis workshop built Brownfinger around Roadster Shop's FAST TRACK platform. That is a substantial mechanical change for a car whose appeal still begins with the shape of a classic Plymouth. The published specification does not establish how quickly it accelerates or how the power translates into measured performance; no independently tested figures have been supplied.
A deep golden-bronze finish gives the exterior its identity. Brownfinger is scheduled to be unveiled on November 3 at the Gentex booth, with the presentation set for 10:30 a.m. Pacific time. Gentex announced the car as the SEMA show opened, alongside plans for a separate Ringbrothers Pontiac GTO reveal at the same stand.
The venue also explains several less obvious parts of the build. Brownfinger carries Gentex's Full Display Mirror, auto-dimming exterior mirrors and electronically dimmable sun visors. Integrating these contemporary visibility and comfort systems into an old muscle-car shell is a different kind of modification from the immense engine output, but both are part of the finished concept.
There is no indication that Brownfinger represents a new production Plymouth or a limited series. Gentex has not disclosed a sale price, transmission details or a plan to offer further examples. What it has confirmed is a one-off-style custom build combining the 1970 ’Cuda's classic silhouette, a modern specialist chassis and a Hemi V8 rated at four figures in horsepower.
