Saudi Arabia's CEER has revealed its first flagship vehicles, the electric EXOBOT Sedan and EXOBOT SUV. The company, created by the Public Investment Fund in 2022 as Saudi Arabia's first national automotive brand, says both vehicles are being designed, engineered and will be manufactured in the Kingdom.
The official PIF announcement places the two EXOBOTs at the start of a broader product programme. CEER plans seven models over the next five years, with production centred on the CEER Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City. PIF describes the site as the largest automotive production facility in the Middle East.
Top Gear published additional technical details two days after the reveal. According to information supplied to the publication, both vehicles are more than five metres long and two metres wide, use three electric motors and a 112 kWh battery, and send power to all four wheels. Peak output is quoted at up to 1,096 bhp and 1,106 lb ft of torque. The saloon is claimed to reach 62 mph in 2.1 seconds, with the SUV taking 2.4 seconds.
The same report gives a range of up to 416 miles for the Sedan and 348 miles for the SUV, with an 800-volt electrical architecture intended to support a 10-80 percent charge in under 30 minutes. Less conventional features include almost three-metre top-hinged Shahin Wing doors, steer-by-wire, rear-wheel steering and a Halo Cooling system claimed to reduce cabin temperature from 65°C to 32°C in ten minutes.
Several of those performance and range figures remain manufacturer-supplied rather than independently tested. The reveal nevertheless changes CEER from an industrial plan into a car company with defined flagship products and a production programme behind them.
