Alfa Romeo reveals one-off 33 Stradale Perla Nera in exposed matte carbon

Alfa Romeo unveiled the 33 Stradale Perla Nera at its museum in Arese on September 28. It is the only car in the 33-example production run to feature a fully exposed carbon-fibre body with a matte finish. The Perla Nera name was chosen and officially registered by the owner, an Alfa Romeo collector who worked with Bottega Alfa Romeo on the car's specification.

The carbon is more than a dark surface treatment. Alfa Romeo says the fibre layup was arranged specifically so that the weave follows and emphasises the symmetry and volumes of the body. Black wheels and dark brake calipers continue the theme, leaving the structure and texture of the composite as the dominant visual feature.

Inside, exposed carbon is paired with Alcantara. The seats and headrests were redesigned after dedicated fitting sessions with the owner, while the Alfa selector carries the owner's initials. A matching set of black Alcantara luggage also receives a numbered badge. Carscoops reports that the 03/33 number appears both in the cabin and on the luggage.

Perla Nera illustrates the degree of personalisation built into the modern 33 Stradale programme. Every one of the 33 cars is being completed through the Bottega Alfa Romeo process, now part of the wider BOTTEGAFUORISERIE initiative for special Alfa Romeo and Maserati projects. Alfa Romeo has not identified the customer or disclosed the value of this particular commission.

The car will remain on display at the Alfa Romeo Museum until October 18, 2026 before going to its owner. Its distinction is not a separate mechanical derivative but a one-off treatment of the body and cabin within an already extremely limited series, making the exposed matte carbon specification unique among the 33 cars.
