Bentley Bentayga

Bentley introduced the Bentayga in 2015 as its first production SUV, establishing a new luxury segment above traditional full-size utility vehicles. Previewed by the 2012 EXP 9 F concept, the vehicle was engineered on Volkswagen Group's MLB Evo platform and is hand-assembled at Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, England.

At launch, the Bentayga debuted with a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engine producing 600 horsepower, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and permanent all-wheel drive. Bentley later expanded the powertrain lineup to include a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, a V6 plug-in hybrid, and the high-output Bentayga Speed. To manage body roll without compromising ride comfort, the vehicle received a 48-volt active anti-roll control system.

In 2022, Bentley introduced the Extended Wheelbase (EWB) variant, adding 180 mm of rear legroom to position the model as its primary flagship following the retirement of the Mulsanne sedan. The Bentayga quickly became the brand's highest-volume model line, accounting for roughly 40 percent of Bentley's global annual sales.
