Automobili Pininfarina
Automobili Pininfarina was launched in 2018 as a Munich-headquartered luxury EV manufacturer, funded by India's Mahindra Group after its acquisition of rights to the iconic Italian design house Pininfarina SpA. The establishment of the standalone carmaker fulfilled the long-held ambition of founder Battista "Pinin" Farina to build road cars carrying his family's badge.
While corporate operations reside in Germany, design work and hand assembly take place in Cambiano, Italy. The company's flagship model, the pure-electric Battista hyper-GT, debuted with a 1,900-horsepower four-motor powertrain built around a Rimac-derived battery architecture. Production of the Battista was capped at 150 units, paving the way for further low-volume projects such as the open-top B95 barchetta.
