Aston Martin One-77

The One-77 used a naturally aspirated 7.3-litre V12, then the largest road-car engine offered by Aston Martin.

The One-77 is built around a carbon-fibre monocoque designed as a light and very rigid structural core.

During development the One-77 exceeded 220 mph, making it the fastest Aston Martin at the time.

Aston Martin classifies the One-77 as a model produced from 2010 to 2012.

The One-77 name reflected its planned production run: Aston Martin limited the model to 77 examples.

The completed One-77 form was publicly revealed at the Geneva motor show in March 2009.

At Paris in 2008 Aston Martin showed only a partly revealed One-77 styling model, deliberately building intrigue around the project.

The carbon structure is clothed in hand-formed aluminium bodywork with an almost seamless appearance.

In 2009 the One-77 won the Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

At launch the One-77 was offered at roughly one million pounds before local taxes and options.
